The frame is wooden, reinforced with 4 steel plate bars. The key action is English. The Irish-type dampers are set on wooden plates. There are 2 pedals mounted in a “4-stringed lyre”. The case is veneered with walnut. The cover made of mahogany consists of 4 parts fastened by hinges.
The instrument belonged to A. S. Dargomyzhskiy (1813–1869)
