The key action is English, with an intermediate lever (the modification of Broadwood’s key action). The damper mechanism is German-type. There are 2 pedals (lost): the left pedal raises the dampers; the right pedal raises the front part of the cover to trigger the “forte” register. The lute register is triggered with the left hand by the lever. The case is veneered with mahogany, mounted on a 4-legged underframe. The side bars and the cover are inlaid with bands of lightwood, the nameplate is inlaid with a garland of colored wood.
