“XVI” — double cut with a chisel on the inside of the bottom of the case and on the key f of the three-line octave;
“D VII” — cut with a chisel on the back side bar; “1936/…” — scratched on the outside of the bottom of the case.

The key action is hoppered, with an intermediate lever. The damper mechanism is German-type, controlled by a hand lever. The case is installed on 4 legs, veneered with mahogany. 55 keys should match fifty-five but not 54 2-stringed choirs.
